The Lying Flat Dog

a hand-painted resin dog figurine lying flat on its back with all four legs up — a desk piece based on the chinese internet idea of "lying flat".

The Lying Flat Dog — Resin Figurine, Fully Given Up

on his back. all four legs surrendered. done.

in chinese internet culture, "lying flat" means opting out — no hustle, no grind, no chasing targets that were never going to make you happy anyway. this dog embodies the philosophy completely. he's not tired. he's not sick. he simply decided, at some point, that this was enough effort for one lifetime.

hand-painted resin, soft tan coat, fully splayed posture. he asks for nothing. he offers nothing. he is the most honest creature on your desk.
