a cast iron terrier the size of your palm, hand-painted and knocked about on purpose so it looks like it came out of somebody's barn. it came out of a workshop this year.
the shape you know from old iron doorstops — ears up, beard, short legs, tail like a handle. black, brown or white, painted one at a time, so the wear never lands in the same place twice. heavy for its size, which is the whole point of iron.
