how long will it last? depends on the dog. ours bites it a few times, walks off, and comes back now and then for a round of tug. yours might take it apart by the afternoon. cotton rope handles a lot more than plush before it gives up — but "a lot more" is not "forever," and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
