a sardine who never made it back to the school. dark brown, dense, and heavier than it looks.
this is not solid wood — and this page said pine until august, which was wrong. it is wood flour pressed with a binder, which is what most "wooden" dog chews actually are. the trade is a real one: solid wood splinters along the grain once a determined dog gets going. a pressed chew wears down and flakes instead of splitting.
the surface is textured, so it doubles as a light dental scrub with every bite.
material — pressed wood-flour composite
finish — dark brown, textured
size — 8.25 in / 21.0 cm long × 2.75 in / 7.0 cm wide × 1 in / 2.5 cm thick
weight — 8.2 oz / 233 g
for — medium to large dogs
heads up — not natural wood, not undyed. supervise while chewing, and retire it once it starts flaking apart. not for puppies, and not for the kind of chewer who swallows what comes off.
no instructions included. the sardine already knows it's not getting away.
go play.
